Bounciness
Someone raised an "issue" with my Alouette III. Obviously they considered it to be serious because the question came up "Is there a formal way to file bug report?" Well, if it needed to be formal then obviously I needed to look into it! Straight away wasn't worth considering but I did look into it. First thoughts were: what's the problem? Is that even an issue? Here was the "Issue":
excessive bounces after crash
I had a dynamic roll over on a slop, the craft proceeded to bounce around non-stop, and when it was coming to stop bouncing it would jump again into air. The bounce cycle continued until it "accidentally" landed on skids
Seriously? This is nothing unusual to me - I thought it was just one of those XP things. It's a flight simulator NOT a crash simulator. Once you've crashed - who even cares? It's at times like this that you can begin to doubt yourself though. Maybe if someone has gone to these lengths to file a formal bug report then perhaps I should look into it. Perhaps I've missed something obvious. Or maybe not . . . . .
Personally, I think the Bell 429 scores best for "realism" but that the Wessex has the most style and a very impressive final recovery. But this is not really a fair test because of the difficulty of replicating the exact crash conditions.
